Computer vision

The AndonCloud vision system enables counting, quality control and monitoring-without the need for additional sensors.

Hard production data in reports - decisions backed by facts

The system analyzes the camera image to automatically count products regardless of their position and arrangement on the production line. This eliminates the need for contact sensors, and quantity control is completely contactless. The solution operates in real time, enabling rapid detection of anomalies and quality deviations. The data is automatically sent to the system, ensuring full process transparency and immediate access to statistics.

Hard production data in reports - decisions backed by facts

Vision-based product counting on the production line

The industrial camera records every product regardless of its orientation and position. This allows the system to count items accurately, eliminating the need for physical sensors.

Automatic quality classification

The system analyzes the image in real time, recognizing defective products. Quality control is performed without contact and without stopping production.

Visibility of data in the system

Counting results are immediately available on production panels. This allows you to monitor KPIs, including quality, productivity, and OEE, without delay.

Monitoring of the work cycle - reaction before an outage occurs

Cycle monitoring analyzes production rates in real time, comparing them to the set pace. The system detects the earliest signs of a decline in efficiency before they turn into full-blown downtime. Automatic alerts help teams respond quickly and eliminate the source of the problem. Image analysis also makes it possible to determine the actual causes of disruptions on the line.

Monitoring of the work cycle - reaction before an outage occurs

Visual inspection of flow production

The system compares the camera image with the set operating speed and detects deviations from the plan. This allows risk areas to be identified in advance.

Automatic detection of stops on the line

The system monitors activity on the production line and automatically detects when it stops. If there is no movement, it immediately notifies designated people.

Image-based analysis of the causes of downtime

The software analyzes recordings and detects what actually caused the stoppage. This helps to resolve issues faster and reduce downtime.

Advanced vision analysis

Advanced vision analysis allows even the smallest defects in products and packaging to be detected without interfering with the process. The system operates continuously, eliminating the risk of human error and increasing quality assurance. It recognizes defects, incomplete labels, damage, or missing packaging. This allows you to maintain high product standards, reduce returns, and minimize losses.

Advanced vision analysis

Detection of micro defects

The industrial camera identifies micro-damage, leakage, deformation and package shortages, ensuring high precision inspection.

Controlling the correctness of labels and overprints on packages

The vision system analyzes the completeness of markings, detects misprints, missing labels or illegible codes - supporting packaging quality control.

Continuous quality control without interrupting the production process

The system conducts visual inspection on a continuous basis, detecting defects without stopping line operation - increasing efficiency and reducing losses.

Identification of the level of filling of containers

The system analyzes the fill level of containers using machine vision or volumetric sensors, ensuring full control over the dosing process. The solution enables quick detection of underfills, reducing raw material losses and improving production stability. The analysis is performed in real time, allowing for immediate response to deviations from the norm. The system supports high quality and process repeatability without the need for manual control.

Identification of the level of filling of containers

Image-based volume analysis

The system assesses the fill level of containers based on the processed image, analyzing the shape and fill level of the packaging. This allows for contactless inspection without disrupting the line's operation.

Detection of unfilled areas

The algorithm identifies areas where material is missing or filling is below standard. This allows operators to detect dosing problems more quickly.

ToF camera depth measurement

The system can work with volume sensors to further confirm the correctness of filling. This ensures even greater measurement precision and control over the process.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Does the system recognize both good and defective pieces?

Yes - each piece can be classified based on the image as good or defective. This supports inspection automation.
  • Are additional sensors needed for counting?

No - all you need is a camera. The system is based on image analysis, without the need for physical sensors.
  • Can the operator see the number of pieces in real time?

Yes - the numbers are immediately visible in the system, making it easier to properly analyze performance.
  • Does the data include defective pieces?

Yes - the system can distinguish substandard products and includes them in quality reports.
  • Can count data be used for OEE analysis?

Yes - the data can be the basis for the calculation of the quality index (Quality) in OEE.
  • How does the system identify cycle disorders?

On a clock basis - if there is no new product for a certain period of time, the system reports an anomaly.
  • Can you set the response time yourself?

Yes - detection parameters can be configured individually for each line.
  • Who receives the outage notification?

The relevant people (e.g., operator, UR) receive a signal or alert automatically.
  • Is detention information recorded?

Yes - every anomaly goes into the system and can be analyzed historically.
  • Does it support maintenance?

Yes - earlier detection of downtime helps diagnose causes and improves availability.
  • Does the analysis work with different types of packaging?

Yes - the system is flexible and can be adapted to different product shapes and designs.
  • Does the inspection require a line stop?

No - the analysis is done in real time, without affecting the continuity of work.
  • Does the system use artificial intelligence?

Yes - it uses the YOLO AI model to recognize patterns and inconsistencies.
  • Does the operator see the results of the analysis?

Yes - defects are immediately detected and can be displayed or saved for further analysis.
  • Does the system determine the level of filling?

Yes - it visually evaluates the filling based on shape, color and contrast.
  • Does it detect partially empty containers?

Yes - it identifies unfilled passages and deviations from the norm.
  • Is the measurement non-contact?

Yes - it does not require touch or internal sensors, it works based on image.
  • Is it possible to use a ToF camera?

Yes - the system can use a depth-measuring camera to determine the fill even more accurately.
  • Is the filling data being recorded?

They are not recorded by default, but can be viewed and evaluated by the operator.
  • What health and safety violations does the system detect?

Lack of personal protective equipment (e.g., helmet, vest) and presence in a prohibited zone.
  • Does the system recognize machines and vehicles?

Yes - for example, forklifts that are in an unauthorized place.
  • Is the data on violations archived?

Yes - each event is recorded and can be analyzed later.
  • Are gates or barriers needed?

No - the system works solely on the basis of camera images.
  • Can you receive alerts about violations?

Yes - the system automatically sends notifications if an incident occurs.
AndonCloud computer vision is an advanced image analysis system that supports real-time automation of production processes - without the need for additional sensors. The system counts good and defective products based on camera images, enables real-time monitoring of efficiency and calculation of quality indicators (OEE).
Frigate also enables the detection of downtime based on production tact - if a product does not appear at the expected time, the relevant people are informed of a possible failure. A visual inspection function based on the YOLO AI model identifies micro defects, missing labels or packaging damage - without interrupting the work cycle. The system also supports container fill level control and enables depth measurement using ToF cameras.
Computer Vision technology used in AndonCloud also supports automatic detection of health and safety violations - detecting the absence of protective equipment or the presence of forklifts in prohibited areas. Events are recorded and can be analyzed. Frigate is a scalable and flexible platform that combines MES-class, visual inspection and monitoring functions into a single, integrated system.
