Work order management

The Work Orders module allows you to design, organise and automate tasks, and then track their progress in a clear dashboard.

Design and organisation of work orders

The Work Orders module in AndonCloud allows you to create a consistent task management structure – from precise templates and procedures, through clear classification, to efficient order creation and execution. This makes every process repeatable, transparent and compliant with company standards.

Design and organisation of work orders

Design – procedure and order templates

Create consistent, repeatable order templates and step-by-step procedures. The system allows you to define fields, checklists, and instructions so that each order is clear, complete, and ready for execution without additional explanations.

Organise – categories, priorities and task classification

Group orders by category, type of work, priority, and status. A well-thought-out classification system helps you easily filter tasks, maintain transparency in the module, and find the most important orders faster.

Execute – quick creation and handling of work orders

Add orders manually, from templates, schedules, or automatically in response to events and alerts. All tasks are placed on a clear list where they can be monitored, updated, and forwarded to contractors, ensuring efficient work completion.

Automatic generation and scheduling of work orders

AndonCloud automates tasks through schedules, status rules, and alert policies. The system automatically creates orders at the right time, reducing response times and eliminating manual administration.

Automatic generation and scheduling of work orders

Recurring orders based on schedules

Set the frequency: daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, and the system will automatically generate the next order only after the previous one has been completed, ensuring full regularity of inspections and services.

Automatic orders after a change in machine status

Link the template to the selected workstation status, and AndonCloud will create a work order when the operator reports an event. Technicians receive a ready-made task exactly when it is needed.

Response to alerts and threshold exceedances

If alerts are configured correctly, when the system detects a deviation, such as a drop in efficiency or an increase in temperature, it will automatically generate an order with an assigned procedure.

Completing work orders in Dashboard

The transparent widget displays all work orders in the form of a Kanban board. Thanks to dynamic statuses, task dragging, and quick detail previews, work proceeds smoothly and without unnecessary clicks.

Kanban board with current orders

Tasks are displayed in the columns "To Do", "In Progress" and "Completed". Simply drag a task between columns to quickly update its status and maintain complete transparency of your work.

Quick access to order details

The order preview displays the assigned procedure, documents, notes, and steps taken. It is possible to update the status, add a comment, change the deadline, or close the order after the work has been completed.

Priorities and deadlines that determine the order of actions

The system automatically sorts orders by deadline and priority, ensuring that the most urgent tasks are always at the top of the list, making it easier to plan the team's work.

Frequently asked questions

  • What are Work Orders in AndonCloud?

Work orders are tasks to be performed by the maintenance department or other operational teams. They can be created manually, from templates, or automatically as a result of events and alerts.

  • Can I create work orders based on templates?

Yes. Templates allow you to quickly create repeatable orders with pre-configured settings and procedures.

  • What are procedure templates used for?

Procedure templates define the steps, checklists, and instructions necessary to complete a task, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards.

  • Does the system support automatic order generation?

Yes. Automation is achieved through schedules, job status changes, and alert rules that respond to threshold violations.

  • How does the recurring order schedule work?

The system generates subsequent orders according to the frequency (e.g. daily, weekly). A new order is created only after the previous one has been completed.

Yes. The dashboard displays orders in kanban format – 'To do', 'In progress' and 'Completed'. Status changes are made using drag-and-drop.

  • Can I add documents or instructions to a work order?

Yes. You can attach the technical documentation and procedures, which will be visible to contractors directly in the order details.

  • Is it possible to edit existing orders?

Yes. You can change deadlines, assignees, positions, start and end dates, priorities, and statuses.

  • Does the system record the history of work orders?

Yes. Each order has a complete history of changes, comments, statuses, and steps taken in the procedure.

An extensive task classification system — including categories, priorities and statuses — facilitates quick job searches and full control over the process.
AndonCloud automates the creation of orders through schedules, status changes and alert rules, which significantly reduces response times to problems and increases the efficiency of the maintenance department. All orders are presented in an intuitive Kanban dashboard, which allows you to monitor work progress, update statuses using drag and drop, and instantly access full task documentation.
This enables organisations to standardise operations, streamline service and operational processes, reduce downtime, and ensure high machine availability and production continuity.
